Fumaria wicker firewood basket with handle TheWickerStories

The handwoven wicker basket for firewood delights with the natural, warm honey tone of the willow and careful finishing. It features wide, gently rising sides, an oval profile and a comfortable centrally placed handle wrapped in sturdy weave. Tight weaving and a reinforced rim provide stability, and smooth edges protect the hands. The subtle sheen of the wicker highlights the handcrafted detail in every element.

The basket was made in the European Union from natural willow following Polish basketry traditions listed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Each piece is an authentic handmade item crafted by experienced basket makers. The solid construction remains lightweight, and the open weave allows free air circulation. No plastic or unnecessary additives pair with timeless design and longevity.

As a firewood basket it is perfect for storing and easily carrying logs from the woodshed to the living room. The central handle distributes weight well and the high sides keep splinters and small pieces contained. External dimensions: 68×42 H:30/43 (cm) – spacious and handy. Easy to keep clean — simply shake out sawdust or wipe with a dry cloth.

Practicality goes hand in hand with versatility. Out of season, use it in the garden for gathering fruit, vegetables or mushrooms. Natural wicker warms interiors and suits rustic, Scandinavian, boho and modern styles, adding a decorative touch. It’s a sturdy accessory that organizes space and pleases the eye.

Choose a handwoven, eco-friendly wicker basket – durable, beautiful and ready to tidy firewood by your fireplace and add charm to your home.
